Privacy Policy — Bami

Summary

Bami stores all your cycle, pregnancy, symptom, mood, and note data on your device. Data is only sent to our server when you actively enable Partner Sharing or use AI features.

1. Data We Do NOT Collect

• No personal information collected in the app — no name, email, or phone, and no sign-up
• No user accounts or login
• No health data stored on our servers, except the transient Partner Sharing data you explicitly enable (see section 6)
• No location tracking
• No advertising
• No data sharing with third parties for commercial purposes

2. App Permissions

Bami only requests one permission: Notifications. This is used for cycle reminders and daily health tips. You can decline or disable it anytime in Settings.

Bami does not request access to camera, microphone, contacts, location, or any other personal information.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored entirely on your device:

• Menstrual cycle information
• Pregnancy data (gestational week, weight, blood pressure, baby kicks, appointments)
• Daily symptoms and mood
• Personal notes
• Chat history and AI memory
• App settings

You have full control. You can delete all data anytime in Settings → "Delete all data".

4. Offline Usage

Bami works fully offline for all cycle tracking, daily logging, statistics, and calendar features. No internet connection is required for these features.

5. AI Features (requires internet)

When using AI features (Chat, health analysis, daily tips):

• The data needed for personalized responses is sent to Google Gemini API: cycle day, phase, mood, symptoms (or gestational week in pregnancy mode), the messages you type in Chat, and the facts you've shared that AI memory recorded.
• Our server acts only as a proxy between the app and Google Gemini. We do not copy or store any content on our server.
• Under Google's paid API terms, Google does not use data sent through the Gemini API to train or improve its AI models. Google may retain logs for a limited period for abuse detection and legal compliance, per Google's Privacy Policy.
• Personal notes are not sent in daily notifications.
• Chat history is stored on your device only, not on our server. You can delete chat history and individual AI memory entries at any time.
• Like any web service, our server keeps technical access logs (IP address, timestamp, API path) for up to 10 days for security and abuse prevention. These logs contain no health data or message content.

6. Partner Sharing (Premium)

When you enable Partner Sharing:

• Selected cycle data (phase, cycle day, mood, period status, fertility) is temporarily stored on our server so your partner can view it.
• This data is only shared with the partner you explicitly confirmed. No one else can access it.
• You have full control over which information is shared via toggles in Settings.
• You can disconnect at any time — shared data is immediately deleted from the server.
• Personal notes are never shared.
• This feature requires a Premium subscription.

7. Premium Payments

• Bami is free for all cycle and pregnancy tracking features.
• Premium (monthly/yearly subscription) unlocks: a higher AI Chat allowance, in-depth daily health analysis, earning AI companions through app engagement, multi-slot notifications, the home-screen widget, Partner Sharing, and health report export.
• In addition to the subscription, some AI companions can be bought as one-time purchases (non-renewing); once bought they are yours permanently and can be restored on a new device via "Restore purchases".
• Payments are processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store via RevenueCat.
• We do NOT access your payment card or banking information.

8. Data Backup

App data is backed up via iCloud (iOS) or Google Drive (Android) if enabled on your device. This is an OS feature, not controlled by Bami.

9. Website & Launch Waitlist

Our website (https://cycle.trybami.app) may let you voluntarily submit your email address to receive release notifications (for example, when the Android version launches). If you choose to, we store only that email and the date you signed up — solely to send you the notification you signed up for. We never share or sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time via the contact below. This is the only case where our servers hold a personal identifier you provide, and it is never linked to any in-app health data.

10. Children

Bami is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version is always available in the app at Settings → Privacy Policy.
